Launch - red-tailed Hawk
24 inches high x 18 inches wide

“Hawks, like most birds of prey, spend much of their time sitting in trees or on other high perches. To most people, they don't appear to be doing much, but their eyes are ever vigilant. When they see the slightest movement, they will lock on to that space. If that movement turns out to be unwary prey, the bird will launch off that perch, gaining speed with an initial burst from powerful wings and dropping down to just above the ground to avoid detection. While the bird is unsuccessful more times than naught, it is always an impressive spectacle to witness.”
