“We were preparing for an early morning program and arrived at Liberty Wildlife before sunrise. In the midst of the hoots from the resident owl, the chips from the sparrows and the cooing from the doves came the distinct ‘churr-churr-churr’ of a Cactus Wren in the top of a dead tree. Other wrens were already foraging in the shrubs and along the ground.”
